Hosting and infrastructure
Covers the ongoing costs of hosting and infrastructure, including cloud compute, domains, and licensing required to keep the site and customizer online and responsive.
Customizer and site maintenance
Supports ongoing maintenance of the customizer and website, including bug fixes, refactors, new features, and performance work to keep things stable and usable over time.
Prototyping and iteration
Funds prototyping and iteration, including filament, hardware, failed test prints, and the time spent refining designs so they’re usable and tested before release.
Keeping most designs free
Helps keep most designs freely available by offsetting costs elsewhere, so access isn’t gated behind downloads, subscriptions, or a paywall-first model.
Discord
Lunar Prototypes is a solo project, but the Discord is where people swap ideas, talk 3D printing, and follow what’s being worked on as it evolves.
